Dr. Chang grew up in Arizona, and moved to the Bay Area to attend UC Berkeley for her undergraduate and optometry degrees. During her time at UC Berkeley, Dr. Chang was president of the student chapter of the American Academy of Optometry, served as a Berkeley Optometry Ambassador, and was a member of the BSK Honor Society. She received the Walman Optical Company Scholarship, the Winston Neilsen Optometry Scholarship, the William Feinbloom Award for Excellence in Low Vision, and an NEI research training fellowship. She worked for many years in a research lab studying the effects of diabetes on the eye, has published in Optometry and Vision Science, and graduated in 2015 with honors in research.
Dr. Chang completed a post-doctoral residency at the Fresno VA hospital in 2016, where she gained extensive experience in primary care optometry, management of ocular disease (such as glaucoma), specialty contact lens fittings, and low vision services. She has worked in several private practices in the Peninsula and South Bay, and is proud to be a part of the Los Gatos Eye Care team.
Dr. Chang is committed to providing personalized care to every patient. She is dedicated to staying up-to-date with recent research and treatments, and has volunteered in local vision screenings as well as Lions Club clinic missions in Mexico. In her spare time, Dr. Chang enjoys traveling, martial arts, and spending time with her family.
